Or File extensions: jpg, tiff, eps, psd, ai, eps, pdf, zip

We also accept all Microsoft Files if youʼre supplying information to us.

The easiest and fastest way to send us your files is through PDF technology. Not only are the files complete (with no missing fonts or links) but they hold true colour management, trapping and open pre-press information. The files are so small in size that it is a breeze to send them over the internet and e-mail services - without any loss of quality or data.

To ensure your brochure folds correctly, please see our folding diagrams on the left menu of this section you may also use our DIY templates that are available for download.

What is Bleed?

Bleed is an extension of your background colour or image going beyond the intended trim line of your piece. The bleed is an absolute must if you have a background image or colour that extends to the page ends. Please ensure you allow a minimum of 2mm bleed and 4mm on multipage products extending beyond the trim size.

Convert Text

Where possible please convert your text to paths, curves or outlines (whichever applies to the program you are using). Alternatively, you may send the fonts to us with your artwork.

Print Colours & Resolution

All images and files being submitted for full colour printing must be saved in CYMK at a minimum of 300dpi (120dpcm). If you are exporting from a program that does not allow you to select resolution, the program will often give you quality options to select from as an alternative (i.e.. screen, print, press or low, medium, high). In this case, always select the highest quality selection possible. Another alternative a program may give is pixel count. To obtain the correct pixel count, multiply the height and width of your product size (i.e.. 4" x 6" postcard) by 300 (1200 x 1800). This will provide the correct pixel count for optimum quality.

Please ensure all colours are nominated correctly as PMS or CYMK and are relevant to the job you are submitting. We cannot print from RGB files so we ask that you convert your document to CMYK before submitting.

Black Print Tip

When you want an area of solid black within a document, 100% black (K) will not necessarily result in a solid, saturated black, youʼll most likely get a charcoal black.

To achieve a nice rich black mix 50% Cyan, 40% Magenta, 40% Yellow and 100% Black.
Subsequently, when providing solid black text on a white background, 100% black alone is recommended to avoid the possibility of other ink colours causing a "halo" effect around the copy. This applies especially for smaller font sizes.

Donʼt forget

Please remember to supply us with all the relevant files, including linked items, for output (e.g. fonts and graphics).

If you are sending your files through e-mail, please make sure that you have clearly marked somewhere in the message who the e-mail is intended for and more importantly who you are. Also let us know what files are attached and for what product.

If delivery is urgent, please check with Brandaid that your deadline is achievable.

PLEASE NOTE: Whilst all care is taken, Brandaid cannot be held responsible for any errors on final output generated by you or the software you use in creating files for output. It is the sole responsibility of the client to review all final artwork, to attest to its accuracy.
